Tell us a little about yourself
Hi friends! My name is Emily and I’m an artist. Born & raised in San Diego county. I love love love living by the beach, dipping in the ocean, going for long coastal bike rides and infusing creativity into everything I do.
How would you describe your art
I think my art reflects my personality and lifestyle (or vice versa?!) It’s relaxed, simple, classic, timeless and personable. Other words I’d use are effortless, easy going and reflective. I make these continuous line portraits that are fluid and lovely and capture the essence of a person beautifully. While drawing, myself and the subject get to share a SWEET intimate moment of eye contact and conversation. This is by far favorite thing to do. If I’m not drawing portraits at an event, I’m at home crafting something colorful and fun. I work in a variety of mediums and enjoy the fluidity of creating.
What inspires you
People. Places. Colors. Experiences. Georgia O’Keefe and the Louvre!
But really, I’m inspired by what is simple and beautiful around me. Namely, a slow + fulfilling life spent sipping coffee, watching the waves, floating in the ocean, a good song, a long hug.
However, no one inspiration is more valuable than sitting down with a pencil and putting it to paper!
What do you love about your Pons
I love that I can be messy in them. I can wear them to the garden, the market, in the studio, on set. If I’m not in crocs it’s my Pons.
How do you love bout your Pons
See above?! They’re perfectly fitted to my lifestyle and my feet. Simple, beautiful, classic, timeless, a pop of color here and there. I have loved Pons for years, for their seamless fit into my style and the steps-from-the-beach daily life. They’re so comfortable. Leather. Easy. Match with everything. They’re a part of my personal brand at this point!
