The traditional Botijo is a handmade clay jug that can be found in every rural town in Spain. This ancient system of naturally cooling water can be traced back to the bronze age, and Alfareria La Nava has been making these jugs since the 18th century. The unglazed clay has a velvety texture and shows the minor imperfections left by the hands that made it. For decorative purposes only, do not fill with water.
